Nowadays, garbage enzyme has been a popular star in media papers. I’m sure a lot of us did come across about garbage enzyme but you will be wondering the effectiveness of garbage enzyme and the health perspective of using the enzyme.

This garbage enzyme was invented by Dr. Rosukon Poompanvong, an alternative medicine practitioner in Thailand. In, Malaysia, Dr. Joean Oon is the first person who went to Thailand and learnt from Dr. Rosukon. Hence, she is now organizing seminars, workshops for public in order to expose them to garbage enzyme.

Dr Rosukon's Garbage Enzyme is a complex organic substance of protein chains and mineral salts and juvenile hormones. It is made from sugar and fresh kitchen wastes in the ratio of 1:3:10. Which means, 1 ratio of Sugar : 3 ratio of fresh kitchen waste : 10 ratio of water.

Method:

i. Mix brown sugar with water, add in the garbage.

ii. Leave some space for fermentation.

iii. Enzyme will form and ready to use in 3 months.

iv. Make sure the container is air tight.

vi. Push the floating garbage downward once a while.

vii. The enzyme is ready to use in 3 months.

The residue can be reuse for the next production by adding fresh garbage. It can be use as fertilizer by drying the residue, blending and buried in the ground.


Garbage Enzyme’s Usage

i) Agriculture

• Reduce over-use of chemicals in the agriculture.

• Keep the farm free from infections and insects.

• Enzyme can fertilize the soil for vegetable growing.

• As a natural Herbicide and Pesticide

• Can convert sandy land to fertile farm land.

• Keep clean and cool air in the farm atmosphere.

• Clean impure and dirty water in the farm.

ii) Household

• Enzyme is a popular household cleanser, cleaning with enzyme is a smart way to avoid using harsh chemicals. By the end those Enzyme will reach to the river & the sea and it will safe our environment.

• Remove the foul odor, mold and grime in kitchen and bathroom

• Anti bacterial and virus

• Help in driving away insects

• Remove odor from pets and cigarettes

• For ticks and carpets

• For ironing and washing

Usage Dilution ratio

Enzyme for fertilizer, 1:100 / 500 / 1000

Enzyme for insecticide, 1:1000

Enzyme for pesticide, 1:100

For anti odour / air re-freshener: dilute 200xAs plant hormone to get moreflower and fruit dilute 500x.

Enzyme adds with water to dilute, it become more power.

For Shampoo, Dish wash, Detergent, use enzyme: add half tea spoon in shampoo (1 tea spoon for 500cc; 1 table spoon for 1 lit) to enhance the nutrients and reduce chemical side effect.

We did also interview one of the users, that is Mr Lim Chee Keong, who is a Chinese Physician stay at Balik Pulau, Penang. According to him, the atmosphere is cool at the surrounding area of the enzyme making site at his home. He did also use the enzyme residue as fertilizer for his plant at his garden. Thus, he never uses any chemical fertilizer anymore. He is very happy with garbage enzyme.

If every household utilized their garbage to produce Garbage then our next generation could live in pollution free environment. Mankind can live in toxic free environment and enjoy non-toxic food. No harm on trying it as the production cost is very cheap and you can cut cost on buying chemical fertilizers, insecticides and even floor cleansing liquid.

But of course different mixer of waste in enzyme producing will give different scent. Most people wouldn’t like the scent of enzyme produce by mix vegetables. Mixed fruit vegetable enzyme is nice but orange skin enzyme the scent is even nicer.
